Light + Building 2024: GEZE presents solutions for networked safety technology
Intelligent networking for safety and technical building systems for the liveable buildings of the future – this will be the focus of GEZE's presentation at Light + Building, the specialist trade fair for the light and technical building systems industry in Frankfurt am Main from 3 to 8 March 2024. The specialist for innovative door, window and safety technology will be demonstrating what is most important for modern smoke and heat extraction systems and emergency exit systems (EES) under the motto “Integrating safety systems easily!” at Stand D68 in Hall 11.0.
In 2024, Light + Building will be one of our most important events of the year. We are looking forward to showing how our door and window drives are networked in higher-level building management systems and displaying the visualisation system developed by GEZE, under the trade fair motto “Integrating safety systems easily.

GEZE is presenting my myGEZE Control at the Light + Building 2024 as a next-generation networking solution. The modular platform designed for integrating door, window and safety technology works with the open BACnet standard. It allows for automated processes in companies, central monitoring for more safety and energy-optimised operation. Highly efficient integration into building management, physical security management, and CAFM systems from any manufacturer is likewise no problem with the platform. myGEZE Control can also simplify the work of specialist planners and technicians from the electrical trades: BACnet project management makes it possible to proceed in a standardised way, independent from the service provider.
Full visibility and control: myGEZE Visu

With the myGEZE Visu, GEZE is also presenting a new and extensive visualisation system as an expansion to myGEZE Control. With this expansion, GEZE offers a customised visualisation option for construction projects in which an integration solution into the building management system is not possible or desired.
Building operators can make data and information from the entire GEZE product portfolio usable with myGEZE Visu, and visualise and operate doors, window and safety technology to optimise their building processes. myGEZE Visu offers excellent added value especially in the smoke and heat extraction and emergency system areas: the functional capabilities of and alarm messages from connected GEZE products are displayed in a pre-defined and intuitively adaptable alarm concept. This permits users to intervene quickly and flexibly from anywhere. Parallel operation with any building management system is likewise possible.
The right control panel – the heart of any smoke and heat extraction system

Efficient networking and suitable components are equally essential to guarantee optimal performance. The MBZ 300 N8 SHEV control panel is the right choice for small and mid-sized buildings and staircases. At the Light + Building, GEZE will show how it can be used to flexibly control small smoke and heat extraction systems in case of a fire. Installation and commissioning of the MBZ 300 N8 is quick and easy, as is networking with additional MBZ 300 models. The optional CAN module offers the option of connecting 30 devices to one large smoke and heat extraction system.
The integrated ventilation function of the THZ N4, in contrast, makes sense in rooms where only smoke extraction is required under building law. For example, it ensures optimal ventilation in staircases. Up to four window drives, such as the GEZE Slimchain chain drive, can be operated with just 4.5 amperes of output current.
Safety first: modern safety module for power-operated windows

Windows that open and close automatically are standard practice in many buildings today. These so-called power-operated windows are an essential part of smoke and heat extraction systems, and are also often used for on-demand automatic ventilation. However, the high safety standards of the Machinery Directive apply for these windows, because they are often easily accessible for many people. Because of this, GEZE offers a TÜV-tested solution for closing edge protection on power-operated windows with the IQ box Safety with safety edge (and/or laser scanner) up to protection class 4. The IQ box Safety meets the highest protective requirements.
Architects and planners can purchase all of the components needed for a smoke and heat extraction system, emergency exit system, or building automation system from GEZE. That means no complex interfaces are needed between safety and automation technology from different manufacturers, including software and connectivity platform.
Visitors can find GEZE experts at the Light + Building from 3 to 8 March 2024 at Stand D68 in Hall 11.0.
